Education:
Linda graduated from the University of Virginia with an undergraduate degree in Mathematics. After sustaining a severe injury early on in her Air Force career, she recovered with the assistance of physical therapy and was able to remain on active duty and go on to become a physical therapist herself after graduating from the Baylor University Doctoral Physical Therapy program.
Professional Role & Specialties:
Linda has 19 years of experience as a physical therapist treating patients in Military Treatment Facilities as an Air Force officer with skills in manual therapy, trigger point dry needling, and Graston (instrumented assisted soft tissue mobilization). She is a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist and also has a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification from the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Linda recently retired from the Air Force, where she directed physical therapy and other medical specialty clinics at four bases and two deployment locations. She also has experience in research and has authored a peer-reviewed publication in APTA’s Physical Therapy Journal (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/17609333/) and another in the journal Aerospace Medicine and Human Performance (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/26564676/).
Fun Facts:
Linda is a former college cross country and track athlete. She continues to run recreationally and even completed a marathon after sustaining a spinal fusion. Linda loves to be active, ski, and travel. She has been stationed in Germany and Japan with the Air Force enabling her and her husband the opportunity to travel to many places and explore new cultures.
