Cutting-Edge
ACL Return to Sport Testing
What is ACL Return
to Sport Testing?
Recovering from an ACL reconstruction is one of the most challenging journeys for athletes, but returning to sports safely is even more critical.
At TJC Concierge, we provide advanced, evidence-based ACL Return to Sport Testing designed to significantly lower the risk of re-injury while preparing athletes to return to their highest level of participation. As a concierge, out-of-network physical therapy practice, we deliver exceptional care that prioritizes your performance, safety, and convenience.
Why Is ACL Return to Sport Testing Important?
Research shows that athletes returning to sports too soon after ACL reconstruction face a re-tear rate as high as 20-30%, particularly within the first year. This risk is significantly reduced when athletes receive structured, top-tier care and undergo objective testing before returning to play. At TJC Concierge, we leverage cutting-edge technology and the latest science to ensure every athlete has the strength, mobility, and confidence to return to their sport safely.
The ACL Return to Sport Testing Process
Our ACL return-to-sport testing is designed to evaluate and optimize every stage of recovery:
Early Stage (3-4 Month Mark):
Comprehensive in-clinic assessment with state-of-the-art force plate testing and isokinetic dynamometry to measure strength and stability.
Athletes and parents receive a detailed score report with individualized feedback and normative data to identify strengths and areas for improvement.
Mid-Stage (6-7 Month Mark):
Higher-intensity testing, including mobility, balance, hopping, strength, and change-of-direction performance.
Repeat force plate and isokinetic dynamometry testing to track progress and refine the rehab plan.
Late Stage (9-12 Month Mark):
A final, rigorous testing battery to evaluate readiness for full participation.
Results guide the final steps to ensure athletes can safely return to their sport.
