FAQs
1) How do I know if my symptoms are related to my pelvic floor?
If you’re experiencing bladder leakage, urgency, constipation, pelvic pain, painful intercourse, pressure, or core instability, the pelvic floor is often involved. Even low back or hip pain can originate from pelvic dysfunction. A thorough evaluation will clarify the root causes.
2) Is pelvic floor PT uncomfortable?
Your comfort is our highest priority. Internal techniques are always optional and only performed with clear consent. Many clients experience significant relief with gentle, precise approaches—not pain.
3) Is pelvic floor therapy safe during pregnancy?
Yes—when performed by a trained pelvic health therapist. We help manage pain, prepare your body for delivery, and support smoother postpartum recovery.
4) Do you offer treatment for men?
Absolutely. Pelvic floor dysfunction affects all genders. We frequently support men with pelvic pain, urinary issues, post-prostate surgery recovery, and core dysfunction.
5) Will exercises be part of my treatment?
Yes, but they will be tailored to your lifestyle, ability, and goals. Your program is never generic. Every exercise is chosen strategically for your body’s needs.
6) What makes concierge pelvic floor PT different?
TJC Concierge offers an elevated, private, and tailored experience:
- Your therapist comes directly to you.
- No rushed appointments or crowded waiting rooms.
- One-on-one expert treatment for the full session.
- Faster progression due to personalized planning and coaching between visits.
- Discreet care for deeply personal symptoms.
7) How many sessions will I need?
Most clients notice improvement within 3–6 sessions, though timelines vary based on symptom severity and duration. After your evaluation, your therapist will outline an individualized care plan designed not only to address your current symptoms but also to prevent them from recurring or evolving into related issues.
At TJC Concierge, we follow a thorough, whole-person approach informed by the WHO’s ICF model and current research on longevity, wellness, and social determinants of health. Using these principles, your therapist will recommend the optimal number of visits for your plan of care.
