Dr. Abhinav Yadav began his education at the University of Delhi and went on to earn a Master’s degree in Sports Physical Therapy from the University of Amritsar. He continued his studies in the U.S., earning his Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from Utica College in New York, his Board Certification in Orthopedics and completing an Upper Extremity Athlete Fellowship.
After completion of the fellowship, AB was accepted into the American Society of Shoulder and Elbow Therapists, which is an elite group with fewer than 200 members in the world. Dedicated to his profession both in clinic and on the ¬field, AB is also a skilled mentor and educator, serving as a faculty member in the Upper Extremity Athlete Fellowship program, and both Orthopedic and Sports Residency programs at TJC.
Dr. Yadav is a dedicated Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) with a deep commitment to the field of physical therapy. He holds a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification, allowing him to incorporate performance optimization into his rehabilitation plans. Additionally, Dr. Yadav is certified in dry needling, Blood Flow Restriction, and Kinesiotaping, which he uses to enhance recovery and alleviate pain for his patients.
In 2018, Dr. Yadav was selected for the prestigious Kevin Wilks Traveling Fellowship with the APTA Sports Section, an experience that enriched his global understanding of sports rehabilitation and further developed his clinical expertise.
With a passion for sports and a commitment to physical therapy, Dr. Yadav enjoys volunteering for sports coverage, including participating in the USOC Medical Volunteer Program. His extensive sports knowledge and hands-on experience make him an ideal resource for both athletes and individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries.
When he’s not in the clinic, Dr. Yadav enjoys staying active by running 5ks and half marathons. He’s also a fan of badminton and cricket, often challenging friends to a friendly match.
